                                         When we are born,  we are not born with a purpose . As we move through the various stages of life, over time we begin to find our purpose in life and start to live with a purpose. The goals in life that we set for each stage of life become clear when we have a clear purposes. There is no single purpose prescribed for all humans, our religions do prescribe the purposes that we should follow to become accepted in society In one scheme, purposes are defined in two clear ways: a) Living for ourselves and its opposite b) living for others. Of course, they are not sharp categories but admit a large grey area in which a person may define a purpose which is a mix of both in some proportion. How do most of us define our purpose in life. Being a man of the theatre, he conceived a person’s life to fall into these seven ages. They are:   1. Baby or infant 2.School boy or child 3.Lover 4.Soldier 5. Judge 6.Old man 7. Extreme old age, again like a child.   The seven ages are characterized by the roles played by a person over a lifetime; on the stage of the world in a drama called Life. In India, we believe that a person inhabits the distinct phases of life also called as Ashramas or shelters and these are: Brahmacharya Ashram or Student age, Grihastashram or Householder, Vanaprashthashram or Retirement   and Sanyasashram ( Renouncement). Life: A Teacher- Introduction

  Wednesday , 19/8/2020  I consider Life as the greatest teacher. While every teacher, teaches us a little bit, it is only Life that teaches all there is to be taught. Conversely, it is only from Life that we learn all that we do in our own lives. Till we are alive, Life never stops teaching and we never stop learning. We may for a while think that we have learnt everything by attending school and college. But soon enough, we discover, that we have learnt nothing. The realization is painful, as we become aware of the gap: that there are many important and useful things that we are never taught. It is the start of our journey of learning from Life. Each day brings new lessons to learn from Life the Teacher. We may learn the lesson or may skip it only to be taught once again in a different form and in a different situation.
